thats true, either way you go best of luck to you, its like most people say keep a open mind and expect the unexpected.
-
ShamrockSalono Thanks this.

exactly and most of them wont keep there job long neither working like that. i can remember swift does have a little terminal in WI. and they hold orientations at, just cant think of the name of the town.
-
Neenah.... good to know I was wondering if they did orientations there
-
No agility test for Swift. I'm finishing orientation tomorrow and went through the Swift training prior.
Like someone else said, it's your state's minimum wage for passenger seat time and minimum wage +$1 for driver seat time during training with the mentor. -
There's no agility test, apart from the DOT physical. Depending on the doctor, you may have to do a set of stretches and/or movements in order for them to be satisfied that you can get in and out of the truck and perform whatever other physical tasks are required for the job. Swift may have different standards for flatbed and dedicated (driver assist/unload) accounts, but I can't speak to that.
Also, the Wisconsin terminal is pretty small, but adequate, and it's located in Menasha-not Neenah, but pretty close. It's a little south and west of Green Bay, near Appleton. -
I know this thread is a few years old but I'm wondering if Swift now has an agility test for new hires and CDL trainees. If anyone has gone through CDL training in the past few months, could you let me know, please? Thank you.
