Im A New Driver Starting A New Job For A New Company -- Need Some Advice!

Who is Patty and Freespirited, I guess they work at PAM?

That sounds good, but would any companys hiring new drivers pay that?
Im trying to make some money driving truck so life is not as hard when i become older and can not work. Im single and own my own house, But it kinda sucks cause now i will hardly be living there and pay all the taxes, considering how much i might be making it has me worried a bit. I could sure use some advice. Team driver is what i will do if it makes me more money, but from what i understand its better to do solo, less headache and stress then team.

Somone actually recommended me join them, said that they took over there contract and offered a salary position. And he just got his cdl.

Yeah this sounds bogus, They say one thing on there papers and then from 40cpm to 20cpm to 17cpm, I heard thats what i would be making also.

How do companys get away with this, I mean how can they give McDonalds pay to truck drivers?

 

It makes more sense to me that solo driving would make you a better driver.
One concern for team driving i have is them teaming me with someone that is not experienced or does not meet some of the things i want. For instance non smoker, non lazy, and team player.
My last job had a good truck gig that payed hourly and you come home every night but it was city driving on the east coast. And i dont think they would take over my contract so maybe i can try apply there in a year.

Are companys obligated to meet some of your requirements when teaming you up?
