Ty for the update.
Why not install induction coils around the cylinders themselves inside the block and have the pistons with induction rings to heat the chambers if extra heat provided some benefit to power? Desiel explodes upon compression at very high values compared to a gas engine compression. If you were able to preheat the cylinders to just below a value required for compression, you might be able to make a good power output with less mass perhaps.
Unfortunately, a engine that builds heat have to be cooled. Usually coolant. I don't know about you but no one has managed to cool a large engine without fluid. (*I concede that B29's etc have very large air cooling, but when you consider it, it's approximately 150 acres of metal surface presented to airflow, something you cannot machine into a modern truck deseil, or can you?)
Im just thinking out loud. Any place that takes me towards a higher operating temps become a large problem at three areas, Turbo, Pyrometer and cooling.

Deutz diesel tractors are air cooled .
Bean Jr., 25(2)+2, KANSAS TRANSIT and 1 other person Thank this. -
x1Heavy Thanks this.

It is some kind of liquid coolant it just does not contain any water. And the motor is supposed to be ran at much hotter temps with Evans coolant. Really suspect IMO especially after this.
-
Evans coolant when mixed with regular antifreeze creates a corrosive mix. They admit that. And since it Evans has such a high boiling point the cooling system is not pressurized in theory seems like a good system. But real word vs theory are 2 different reality some times.

Something I noted about the Evans coolant. It seems to have a bit of contradiction going on. If you read the information on the website about the product, along with all the instruction for install and the FAQ's. I could not find any place that stated you need to run higher temp thermostats. All the descriptions of operation and use seemed to state to run a stock system free of water. I could have missed that point, how ever I doubt it.

The heat capacity is going to be different, which will cause the amount of heat removed to be different.
