Back when I pulled a reefer I worked for a company who did just that, course you had to remember to unplug it and stow it before leaving out in the AM. It was really nice

I know 50% of drivers idol their truck every night regardless time of year. Go to any random flyingJ and tell me I’m wrong.
having said that, it cost about $7500 to idol a truck 300 nights a year. The absolute worst thing you can do to one of these newer motors is idol it, which is why manufactures are starting to send them out the door with a 15 minute idol time in the computer not even a dealer can change. DEF systems don’t like it, expensive to repair. Get an APU and do what I did, sound proof your bunk.
Kilmat works good, but there is a variety of sound proofing material for autos. I can hardly hear my Tri PAC run, but I took the initiative to sound proof my truck… which I don’t own. I’m living in that truck for 5 years and I intend to live like a king. I have espresso makers coffee maker satellite TV air fryer microwave… so having an APU is nice, super nice having air conditioning without needing to run my Detroit.
your the one living in the truck, it’s up to you to modify it to your needs. Get the owner to buy the sound proofing, you put it in.fordconvert Thanks this. -
Add some extra deep cycle batteries to run stuff, and wire them to charge as you drive.

I don’t think I’ve spent 300 nights in my truck in the last 2 years.
the only thing that drives me nuts and will force me to move is an air dryer piping off every 17 secondslarry2903, RubyEagle and MartinFromBC Thank this. -
I haven't slept 300 nights in trucks in my whole life. -
