I'd love to know what you mean. I'm trying to make an informed choice.

Other companies such as Britton and Abeline for example is more money and better work environment. Use the search function for other Swift threads.

I must find a carrier that will hire a zero time driver. A retired airline pilot, I'm about to begin trucking school. (Do you have an opinion regarding which is best in North Carolina?) I look forward to the challenge as I regard driving a vehicle on the open highway to be much more demanding than is watching an airliner fly itself here and there.

    open highway is easy
you must protect the equipment and the public while dealing with traffic, weather, bad auto drivers, tight areas for 53 foot trailers, icy roads .
these mega carriers all have the same business model. newly trained budget drivers new equipment swapping loaded trailers for empty trailers and paid unloading crews.
i started with swift 21 years ago but schneider seems to have the best reputation and drivers

check out federal grant opportunities for vocational training through your local workforce office... did the training contract option before, one ticket not only cost me my job, but ultimately ~$10,000+ for the "free after completion of contract" - the real kicker was the recruitment letter I got from the company a week after paying them off offering me a "free after contract completion" refresher course and rehire opportunity. This time round government is gonna pay my school and license fees, I am gonna keep my freedom to choose the company that best meets my needs and wants, and use that $10k hard knock education I bought 18 years ago to ensure my success this time around.

I used to work at Swift and I had a decent time. Did an account in Corrine, Utah but wanted to get a better gig elsewhere. Having problems at the moment though
