Drove by the Hobby Lobby campus Fri night, HOLY COW! I haven't been by there in forever, I couldn't believe how big it has gotten. I know you described it but until you see it it's hard to comprehend. They're office on the south side of 44th is pretty cool looking!

@Bear135 Yes, they have really, really grown, and now it's more like a compound.
They also have a huge mansion on the North side of 44th to hold out of town Mgrs, or DM's for their meetings so they don't have to put them all up in a hotel.
But, the entire complex is really done FIRST CLASS.

That was one thing I noticed was how clean and organized it was around there. No guessing as to what building you were at, they have everything marked really well.

Ok... there are some things being left out here.

I work for a mega that has a fairly large contract with HL and as a team, we end up with alot of your loads, we also were on the dedicated out of OKC until HL made them drop trucks after november...

Teams, per the manager I spoke with, must either be married or family. (So they don't hire gays or unmarried couples) which is why we can't get hired. (Unmarried couple) despite our fully competent ability to do the job, and our familiarity with the DC and stores.

I'd say that's pretty "in your face" with their religion.

Not that I care less about your present arrangement, it's your business not mine and I've been there myself, but it's their company, their rules/policy.......no? They believe it's wrong, you don't see a problem with it. I don't see how that's "in your face", just different opinions.......no? To me "in your face" is somebody standing in front of you with some kind of sign yelling and spitting at you saying your going to hell and what a bad person you are etc., etc., That's what I'd say anyway. Do they state specifically that it's against their religion or just that you must be married or family?

Yes, as a private company, HL has the right to hire whoever they want....as long as it doesn't violate federal laws. That's the great thing about America.

To be a team driver with a female, you two have to be married, and provide documentation of that.

Your sexual orientation does not violate federal law....and I've never been asked.

I can assure you me and my codriver are not a "couple", and we are not family, either.

    xlsdraw and Crusader66 Thank this.

At least you were home for the day part of it anyway. Awesome as usual for us, it's all about the kids and my son had a great time. My wife and I just pretty much do stocking stuffer gifts and it gets pretty funny sometimes. Wish it would have been a little cooler though. I was off all week, gotta go back tomorrow or I guess tonight, tues, ugghhhh!

You don't have to look far to see their politics, driver. These are the same people that think birth control is "an abortion inducing drug" lol.

You have to be married to be hired, it's their prerogative, but pretending like it's not them forcing conformity to their religious beliefs to get hired is intellectually dishonest at best.
