that's $700 pretax.
There's good reason they are called Heartless Express.
Met a Heartless at I476 toll rest area by Allentown (they just redid it and it's nice) lost her oil cap (where you put the oil in) to her Cat Columbia. -Much better truck than my FreightShaker Columbia. (Sat)

Anyone know anything about Heartland Express? Their ads look good.....

There is a multitude of info here on Heartland. Just type their name in the search engine.

Their ads look good?
Here we go again. If the company constantly needs to advertise, they are not worth anything. Ask yourself why they advertise in every truck magazine and website. The answer should be obvious.

CRST promises the "Gold Rush"
Heartless Express promises the "HeartBreak Experience" -
I worked for them in the mid 90's for a short time. Miles were about 75% of what they advertised. Home time sucked. Really slow trucks. Lots of fingerprint freight. Lots of sitting all day, then 3 hr deadhead to pick up a 400 mile load that had to be there asap. Dispatchers just didn't understand why you were po'd all the time. If I knew then what I know now, I would never have signed on.

heartland ays those god rates by picking up freight that nobody wanted the first time around so by the time they get it the loads are usually already late. run like a bat oout of hell, miserable home time, horrible bottom barrell trucks... yup sounds good to me

Howdy all, new here.
I've been driving for 3 years now with 2 different companies. In August my wife and I moved to TN so I could finish college. It was a lot harder to find a job here than I though, so I'm running behind on my school bill. No big deal, its not that big of school, but I won't be allowed to return next semester until this bill is paid. I am considering jumping back in the truck for a semester and half way through the summer to make some money and pay a few bills.
Here's my question: I've been looking at lots of different ads and checking different websites. By what I see on Heartland's website, I think I would like to run regional out of their Memphis (Olive Branch, MS) terminal. I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with Heartland as a whole, and any particular experience with the regional out of Memphis. I live in East TN, but the running lanes for that office include this area. I really want to drive West.
Also, how is orientation for Heartland and where is it held? Does each terminal have its own orientation, or do you have to travel to Iowa to get it over with. And how about the equipment. I've noticed I see more and more of their drivers with the new International ProStar. I think those are good looking trucks.
Thanks for any help you may have for me. Hope I can find something out and make an informed decision.
