Hows everyone? Hope all had a uneventful Dec. As for myself, back to local driving doing heavy haul. Miss otr from time to time and meeting up at coon rapids. Be safe .

 

Got up to Grand Forks and expected an easy afternoon.
Got a call on my way telling me the NJ load I was gonna get was postponed till Saturday.... but they had a NC load I could get on. Cool with me.
Got a another call from Nick asking if I could go see if one of the two trailers at our Grand Forks Yard would start. If I could get it started, to go over to Philly Mac and get loaded today and he would have someone deliver my load tomorrow morning. Campbells in Maxton needs the product ASAP

Got the trailer started no problem. Cleaned it out.
And the brakes were frozen solid... My fat ###...under the trailer laying in the snow and ice banging on brakes to free them up... and it's -5
What a ####ing JoY!!
Got them unstuck... but that one took awhile!
Got to Philly Mac and they don't have my load ready... come back at 0700 tomorrow...LOL!!
So I leave, call Nick on my way to the truck stop and tell him. They sent a message to Nick to tell me to come back! They were inspecting my load and it would be ready soon...
Continued to the truck stop and took a shower....
Now back at Philly Mac waiting to get loaded... My clock will be dead soon... so I ain't leaving till tomorrow anyways...LOL

So much for your 'snow free' trip. The Raleigh area is suppose to get 3-5" according to the Commercial Weather Channel. Or that was this morning's forecast at least.... NC is suppose to get it worse than Hotlanta

I'm delivering in Grand Prairie tomorrow. Every one of the TX highway signs from the LA border to the DFW loop had warnings for drivers to watch for Ice Prep crews at work

 

That's alright... won't be there till Sundayor Monday... after the snow...
And only an Inch in Maxton...

Eastern side of the state is suppose to get the most....

I am getting a service done. Hope they get on it right away or I need to keep rolling. looking at the weather. I am still 2k short of being due but they said they would do it.
