Hello I'm looking for the right company to work for. I have had my CDL A for about 8 years . Worked for one of the mega company's when I first got my CDL A and drove for them for about 7-8 months. I decided to get out of the business due to trying to save my marriage ( unsuccessfully) and my son was at a young age . Now they he is older I am looking to get back into the business but have no experience in OTR. I have been driving a school bus for the last 7 years so I have been around larger vehicles that have air brakes . What are my options? And where do I look?
Looking for the right company

rabbiporkchop and Mike2633 Thank this. -
Many will want you to go thru school, or refresher course since its been awhile since you've driven combos or OTR. i would be willing to take a refresher course, if i was in your position (not knowing much but what you wrote) . Full on threee week course would be deal breaker unless i didnt find better options. And i might look for place that would roadtest you before wanting school/and or hire. Good Luck on your search

Cool, now, do you want local, otr, indifferent to it?

Personally, I would suggest regional, so you have a good chance to be home weekends, or at least a day or two during the week. You could at least still see your boy that way. Up to you, ultimately, of course.
