I spoke with the recruiter over at Frey Miller That's handling my application and she was telling me as of right now there is a waiting list to get in with them and that they wouldn't be able to bring me on board till the end of December so there's that many people that are seeking employment through them and not enough trainers so they must be doing something right over there she also said their turnover rate has been very low this past year but she could just be telling me that but something's working for them or they only have a couple trainers

@Mad Monkey I dunno if Frey Miller is good or not, but lack of trainers could be a symptom of not paying trainers extra, so no one wants to do it. At least they aren't super-huge like Swift, so that is a huge bonus alone though. Good luck.

I've got any idea...why not leave the man alone when he's on vacation? I wouldn't wanna be bothered...that's why he pays office personnel. Have a heart and a conscience.

So why don't you drive for one of them? Have you driven for either? And how do you KNOW they pay detention?

    Yes they pay detention.

    The trainers are paid extra.

Never know when he's not there but try to leave him alone as much as possible. Lol

I know they pay detention. They also pay layover, if needed. I've said this MANY times, SHOW them that you can run, and they'll run you. SHOW them you can't run, and well......

Hey y'all .. I have been with FM since March 2015. I have taken some time off in these almost 2 years but not to work for other companies. I will try to answer the questions I've seen posted as of 11/2016.
    ......The "trainer issue".......
Trainers like the avg driver come and go. Many grow tired of training or only agree to do it for so long. FM is very picky about just who can train. Those who do train have to go thru a week long "train the trainer" course and it's only given maybe 2-3 times per year with the selection process from announcement to selection to trained takes a few months. So if you apply when the trainer pool is high or shortly after a trainer course has completed and your wait will tend to be a little less obviously. And yes trainers are compensated for training.
    ..Layover/detention/breakdown..
    All paid by FM......
    .......good/bad company...
Yup they have pros and cons like every company but in my heart of hearts I will tell you the pro out weight the cons by a very large number. This company is a drivers company. Meaning the driver is very respected and you will see that for yourself in a 15 min walk around the buildings and offices.. You won't find better people in any company and I will stand behind that statement without hesitation or reservation. .
It's a great place to work with some of the best equipment on the road. It's not for everyone but show me a company that is..
