Barely bought this 09 Cascadia with Detroit 60 series with dpf for Cali.. Pulled a load today and all of a sudden two of the engine lights popped up and started losing power!! Couldn't go pass 40 and engine sounded crap.. Pulled over waited about thirty minute for my rescue so I can bobtail back... After the wait, no engine light and drove fine not pulling load... What's going on

Not to be negitive but you should of done your homework before buying that truck.

Those are without a dought the absolute worst year series 60 known to man.

You should trade it in because this will be your life for as long as you own it.
Staring a check engine lights and derates. The ecm on those engines are on a hair trigger and will constantly give you problems.

As for your issue, who knows.

You may think im not much help but i just gave you the best bit of advise youll ever get. Trade it in.

Swaan is 100% correct. You just found the reason the last guy sold it...or lost it. You won't do any better. Get rid of it before you become the next "I've already spent $24000 on it this year" story.

    bchoi23 Thanks this.

I got this truck for 25k cash 640kmiles wanted to start off with no payments, just hauling cans within 100 miles... Local work... Spent another 6 to get it on the road... Just took it to the shop and ran a manual regen and they told me the harness might be the problem with oil getting to the wires... Told them ok see if it is and fix it... now after this fix if this truck can make my money back and a little more I'll be satisfied... Not looking to stay with this one for life... But right now yea this truck is my life .... Thanks for the reply tho

Did you pull the codes after it de-rated? That's step 1. Without that info it could be anything from low oil to loose wires.
