Trent Bond & Firefox Logistics - don't pay for delivered loads!

My husband worked for this SOB for 7 months and we still have a check that was never able to clear from Trent Bond! He said that my husband could work in exchange for a diesel and then took the title and never paid him for any of the runs that he did. This guy is crooked, dishonest and needs to be shut down!!! We know of multiple guys that have worked for him and he's done the exact same thing to them. HE claims that the companies that they do the runs for never pay him and that's why he can never pay his employees and that's a complete lie. He owes my husband over $40,000 dollars that I"m sure we'll never see. If anyone else has had any similar experiences with a Trent Bond Trucking and Consulting out of Springville, Utah please reply. The more people that we can get to write comments about him, the better. He needs to be shut down and stopped from illegally operating a business. I'm sure he's doing other illegal things that nobody has found out about yet. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS CROOK and if you already have, please respond!!!

 

Scammers are the absolute worst. Someone tries to scam me at least once a month. It's gotten so common I'm on a first name basis with a guy over at the FMCSA who investigates a particular type of scammer.

I haven't been successfully hit since 2014... I doubt I'll ever get taken again, but I'm gritting my teeth in preparation for when I hire more people.

Oh and yeah this Trent Bond character is a professional scammer pretty clearly.

 

Who works for diesel? Something we're not seeing here?

 

If it were me I would post in as many places as I could every single day until I got paid......however I do agree that if they have a check that didn't clear then you have a few more options. I would be at the court house filing charges, most courts have quit playing around with folks who write bad checks.

I think she is say "a diesel". Meaning a truck not fuel.

I'm taking it you all just took him at his word on the truck and didn't have a lawyer go over your contract with him. Do you have a written contract at all? If so call OOIDA.
Was the bad check written before or after your deal for the truck went bad? Have you taken the check to the court house and tried to press charges for rendering bad checks?
Guys like this keep getting away with scamming others because the ones that get scammed don't know how to protect themselves from being scammed.

What I can't figure out is why he still has 2 good kneecaps.

 

If you have a check that won't clear, try a check cashing place. They go after whoever wrote the check when it bounces. I would know, my dumb 18 year old self wrote a check for $500 when I didn't have the money and the guy cashed it at Money Tree. They kept harassing me and finally sued me for the amount plus court fees. I ended up with a $1700 judgement that I had to pay and had that #### on my credit history for 7 years. They didn't even call the guy who cashed it a single time.
