I can't tell the plant, it's all computerized by truck transponder lol.
I pull up on scale, input dispatch code, screen says authorized for 84000, proceed to silo A.
Pull up to Silo A, it reads transponder as I pull on silo scale, I pull rope twice once I stage, silo automatically dumps until I'm scaling around 83-84. Pull out of silo, ticket automatically prints.

Possible your trainer did not know or did not care.
Reading your load ticket I would be surprised if it did not have a disclaimer about you being solely responsible for the weight . At one time Oklahoma and Texas was holding the loaders as well as the drivers responsible for the overweight tickets.

The old guy advice you did not ask for...
If you are working for a company that is encouraging you to run over weight you need to find another place to work! You will get caught and what extra money was promised to you will be taken away by the penalties. Keeping a clean driving record should always be one of your most important concerns.

Want to gain some points with a Texas DOT officer... Always address them as "Mr. Trooper" when speaking with them. Calling them officer is not bad but they really like to be addressed as "Trooper".

Showing your Trooper respect along with your newbie status got you off with a warning this time.

That's good info to file away.

I do have a dumb question. While on the interstate, did you cross any bridges?

Negative, I had to pull on for 3 miles due to the service road being closed for construction.

    Only on Man Sand/210/and 3x5.
1 inch and flex loads direct out of the silos in Bridgeport. On man sand I just request 25k now, which puts me right at 80k.

Don't worry the DOT troopers are going to a new schedule in a few months, and they are going to be doing a lot fewer inspections. The scales will also have fewer troopers and won't be open very much at all, trust me on this!!!

Hmm, and to think I thought this thread was going to tell me it's illegal to hit bridges in Tx.
