Rumor is they're going to send Otto through rush hour traffic this time. This is advancing pretty quick.

To be fair, there's not much rush hour traffic on that road. People getting on from 161 and Avery heading towards 270, but that's really it. Nothing too crazy.

im just waiting to see what a "truck" is going to look like when it is designed without the need for a drivers ####pit. my guess is a rectangular box w/ some wheels.

I think the intention is to have an operator aboard at all times. Kinda like pilots flying on autopilot.

perhaps for now, but this is still in its infancy and these are just baby steps, just wait 5 years and im willing to bet that there will be fully operational units rolling alone in certain areas.

Really doubtful that we will see that happen , there is just to much infrastructure in play that would need upgraded and changed, there will be a need for a driver to take over during road construction , backing in to the dock, even fueling the truck. Not to mention when the autopilot malfunctions

i agree for the most part, but im just predicting it for "certain areas", not everywhere.

Meh, they will all be controlled the same way drones are. Glad it won't happen in my life time.
