Sorry to disagree, but wind chill on the radiator is real, that's why a front is used.

I stand corrected on ambient not dropping from actual, due to chill.
But it does shorten the time to coldest degree.

    Macneil and gokiddogo Thank this.

Yep, exactly ... I like to use the example of a cup of warm water outside and ambient temperature is say 35 degrees with wind chill factor of 25 degrees ...that water will cool faster than another cup of water at the same temperature in a no-wind situation, but neither of them will actually freeze

You should be fine. Please take pictures and post when you can...

Absolutely! Pretty pumped to see the sites, always wanted to go along the St Lawrence and going up, maybe some light shows at night.

Don't forget about your windshield washer fluid.

Good point on the fluid. I'll add alcohol to bring the fluid down.

Yeah wind doesn't magically make the temperature colder.

    Wymon and Macneil Thank this.

My god people it's cold but very manageable. Your making it all sound like he's heading to the arctic circle. I know we need to be prepared but he's not gonna have room for his actual payload. Common sense will get you further than a lot of the stuff your packing. Cmon people it's not that bad.

    gokiddogo Thanks this.

The last leg is 352 miles and sub zero temps, I have what I need. My truck is in good shape but there aren't many places for repair.

    Have you driven this road?
