Just wondering. My husband is looking for a practically fail safe trucking company. He's knows there are going to be pit falls, just wondering about TMC though. :?: :?:

I think this carrier has been covered elsewhere on the site. If you can't find it by thumbing through the threads, I'll attempt to point you too it when I get time...

I'll offer just a thought though....you could do far worse than working for TMC...their drivers like the company pretty well...

from what i have been told from a former driver, the company supplies you with polishes and you are required to polish the tanks, wheels, truck body. all black trucks i do believe. any company that gives me those supplies, i'll tell them where to stick it. i'll gladly spend an hour to wash the truck, but to spend my off duty time polishing it......

They haul a lot of building materials, which isn't the best paying freight, so they will push you.

I like TMC, it is where I got my start in the industry. You will haul a lot of building supplies that is true and it is cheap freight. Here is what I like about them.
    1. They train you how to flatbed the right way, safe and secure. Check up on them, they have had less freight come off thier trucks tahn any other flatbed outfit out there.
    2. They tell you home every w/e, this is true.
    3. Great benefits!
    4. I learned a lot from tarping and securing building supplies, sometimes it is difficult and you have to be creative.

TMC is a great way to start flatbedding, take from an old greasy flatbedder if you are looking to start flatbedding go with these guys. Those Pretty Peterbilts they have dont hurt a thing eithier.
