The pay scale level is based on a points earned system. You earn points on mileage, fuel economy, on time delivery, roadside inspections, haz-mat holder Canada eligibility, twic holder, and anything else you can think of in terms of stats and saving the company money. The scale is 1 being a newbie to 10 being the highest. Then add 1 cent on top of pay level if your accident free. Pay varies between divisions. Flats paying 2 cents more than van and reefer and curtain 1 cent more if I remember correctly. Vans level 10 pays. .47.500 plus 1 cent if accident free.

You'll get a message over the pc a couple days later explaining the importance of fueling and following the route. Hopefully you don't lose much sleep over it. You can update your fuel level and a new route and fuel stop will be sent. It's all automatic via macros on the pc. Usually they got me fueling at half tanks.

So if you lived say 6 hours away from terminal in Wisconsin, how do they get you home? Take truck home? Rental car? If going to the cdl school, do they help you get up to Wisconsin or Chicago?

Almost positive you need to find your own way to school...I worked there in 2014 and going back in March. And yes you can take the truck home.

Thanks for the info.. I live near Cincinnati, Ohio and will be attending CDL school starting April 1st and Roehl is one of the companies that I am very interested in. I did contact their recruiting staff and talked to them a bit about what I can expect as a new driver but, I am concerned about mileage and cpm for a new driver out of CDL school (I understand we all have to start somewhere). I have all 6 endorsements for Ohio plus my HAZMAT and TWIC card plus a passport. but, if I pick to work for Roehl should I run regional or OTR based on pay?

OTR isn't a job. It's a lifestyle. You need to be able to handle being away from your family for long periods of time And enjoy being by yourself..

Does Roehl have a ride along policy after so many days of driving? Wife wants to come with.
