    Maybe a verbal warning at least.

    Yep. Saftey director said so, because if he had been caught by DOT instead of another driver, the company in Georgia would have been fined 5000 as well as the 2500 to the driver. For reasons of privacy, I can't say the company, but they are one of those that have set their saftey policies in stone just like the Ten Commandments and are very strict on their enforcement.
    The saving grace is that the driver admitted his mistake.

    If you are going to rat out another driver, you should be man enough to put your name next to your accusation.

    Anonymity = Cowardice.

    I always give them my name, my cell number, and the company I drive for, it is the saftey director's that choose to keep it confidential.

    It seems like some drivers are not happy with you that you report them to the company they work for. I can understand why you do that I want everyone to be stare while on the road.

    I agree. Like trooper said, sometimes all it takes is a stern reprimand to correct the action. Some people, like my granddaddy use to say "you just gotta beat upside the head with a 2×4 to wake them up."
    If the driver gets a come to Jesus talk with saftey and realizes he's being watched he changes.

    I reported a driver once. Not for safety reasons though. Well, maybe the safety of my vision.

    The first house I owned was right across the street from a grocery store loading dock. So I'd see the Pepsi truck nearly every morning when I'd get home. Even spoke to him a couple times.

    I was home one day watching TV and the Pepsi guy pulled up across the street. I paid little attention, but after a few minutes my 5 year old comes in and asks me why that lady is sitting in the Pepsi drivers lap. Incredulous, I look out to see the two of them doing the nasty, in broad daylight, right outside my window. So I stepped outside and nicely asked that they please move to the other side of the parking lot. I explained that I have two young daughters who don't need to see such things. They agreed, he left and she went back to work in the store.

    About a week later, he's back, and again I see her in the truck doing something she shouldn't have been doing in broad daylight. So I called his company and explained what was happening. I basically just told the guy on the phone I didn't care what the driver and his mistress did, as long as my kids couldn't see them doing it. There was a little pause, then a laugh, followed by a story of this driver's background. And then an assurance it would be handled.

    He was removed from his route, placed on another. Divorced his wife, married the mistress, and they now live two blocks from my former house. It all worked out u guess

    True what is the worst thing that you saw while being on the road? I remember watching a YouTube video of a driver with a dash cam and upload it to his Channel. The only problem with that is he ran right through a stop sign and got fired from his job. I would personally hate it if I reported someone and they got fired because you are taking food away from their family.

    The worst thing I've seen was a guy driving down the road late one night watching a movie on his laptop, drifted off the road and hit a broke down car along the highway. Nobody was in the car, and he wasn't hurt. But I'm sure he got a nice driving award for that one

    Yeah, it's the same cringe I get when someone refers to a certain brand of engine as a "Cummings".
