I have a decent company job, but thanks anyway!

I never said L/P and Malone are good deals. But I've said before, some people can make one work for them. It may not work for you or me. But as long as they are happy with the outcome, what does it matter? Why make a big deal of it? It's not affecting you or me, is it?
There are others on here who seem to be making them work. Are they all wrong, too? Putting up false info? Because you said so?

 

1 what's it matter is when companies can work people for such low pay that is why most quit it effects rates when a company can operate cheaper at the expense of the drivers. 2 it's not effecting you or me? Really that company you drive for has to compete against companies that are really using drivers as independent when they really are nothing but company drivers at a much lower rate of pay plus they don't have to pay the drivers s.s.or half there fed.tax.3others are making it work?Your taking someone word for that when you don't have to you can simply run the numbers yourself and see that it is not worth the time off your life.

 

And once again, you are "assuming" that the people that say it's working for them are stretching the numbers. I don't know that they are any more than you do.

I work for a private carrier, so your argument about the company I work for competing with lower paying carriers doesn't work. They still make a nice profit, and pay me decent.

Lots of driving jobs in my area pay $14-16.00 an hour. They still attract drivers. Maybe they are happy working for that, even though you or I wouldn't be. There are people happy at bottom feeders like Werner, CRE, etc. Should we shame them, because they could make more money somewhere else? Are they fools, for working at a bottom feeder?

 

Like Lonesome said as long as they're happy. Doesn't matter if you do a lease or go company. Companies will still make millions.

 

Not people your putting words that I didn't post.I said this person was stretching numbers.You work for a private carrier that's good I've found from my experience those were for the most part good jobs.There used to be a lot of companies that ran there own trucks not so much anymore a lot of guys lost really good jobs to carriers that could do it cheaper.As far as there so happy where all these guys posting all this happiness?Seems like your creating your own version of things to make your argument work

 

Where are you reading all the happiness at?the guy who started this post was doing so good but didn't last a year?

 

He started in June 2015. He turned his truck in September 2016.
