Well I finally got to use my Gumby suit. Nothing better then finally getting the ok from the lab and the skies just open up like a facet. Since I don't haul costic, I might as well use it as a rain suit.

Any longer and I'd have put on mine too! Yep, it's a glorified rain-suit for me also. I don't haul haz or caus anymore, either! Fun, fun~!!!

Chem suits suck one of the reasons I never hauled the real nasty stuff when I did chem loads, thank goodness.

I haul nasty stuff 70 pct time but the customer always unloads me..just like now I hooked up my air to assist his pump and said good luck bro I'll be in the truck.. they don't pay enuff for me wear that suit.. I drove into Minneapolis this morning at 0600 hours.., into what I call a blizzard with rush hour traffic.. my hands hurt from the death grip I had on the steering wheel.. Couldn't see any lane markings and it was snowing chunks weirdly shaped it came down so hard.. it must've been bad cause even I had pass several and I'm in a pumpkin :)

So I had an interesting thought last night. A little history, I haul mostly DME ( dimethyl ether ). Highly flammable, so much that we use stainless steel hoses. Before I can disconnect the hoses, I need to vent the lines to relieve the pressure in the hoses. As I'm standing in the monsoon and lighting is everywhere around and I'm watching the ether vent into the sky, the thought crossed my mind that with all the lightening and electricity in the air, this could really end badly.
