I hope someone answers about Werner inverters.bamamac Thanks this. -
I'm in training with Werner and unfortunately they do not allow inverters that are wired. As tscott said there are cooking options with 12v. I would recommend that you leave the idea of an inverter out of the equation when locating a starter company tho. I have been impressed with the training up until this point. I personally feel while it's longer, it does provide a better foundation for new drivers. Just my thoughts.

I learned to not buy the cheapass inverters at truck stops. It turns out that those bright yellow junkboxes are "modified sine wave" inverters, a different type of wave pattern in the inverted electricity. If a driver wants to put an inverter in their rig, one that will be friendly with electronic devices, run more efficiently, look for a "Pure sine wave" inverter. I learned this and it's really by far the best solution.
How much stuff you can run depends mostly on how many watts your inverter will manage to put out. I have a 2,000 watt pure sine wave inverter and it's comfortable making coffee, charging devices, and running some lights at the same time.
With any inverter, you have to consider your batteries and how healthy they are, what type they are. I've gone over to the 725 amp deep cycle batteries, with good success.
This is for anyone considering the inverter matter. Not necessarily for Werner drivers, but then, I don't really think much of how Werner does business - at least, from a driver's perspective. Just another mega carrier, OK for that first year of work, after that, find a good company to work for. IMHO. -
Inverters are prohibited and they will confiscate them if you come into a terminal with one in your truck.
Only the little tiny ones are allowed to run things like a laptop or your GPS, anything larger will be removed from your truck.
