    It was a tangent, but I found it enjoyable!
    No harm or foul intended

    Really?

    I just asked for clarification, nothing more.

    I have a very valid reason for this, the consulting company I worked for from 1997 to 2011 did the viability studies on the system and software for the investors of that site, I know who is who there. They also did the followup security compliance study of the code and stress testing of the system before eBay bought them.

    What many won't understand, maybe you too, is that when you talk about real money and real things like expanding into the market where you may be bought or have investors look at them, it isn't like a job shop group of programmers hacking things together to make it work for them, there is a seriousness about it, outside people are brought in to look at things like security and server performance to ensure the millions being dump into the company won't be wasted.

    The thing is I've met a lot of boastful people IT who make wild claims about what they did and a few have out done themselves. Many of us have seen this so many times and when we ask for proof, what do we always get?

    What you just posted.

    Me ... Loser?

    That's funny dude.

    I'm doing well enough not to worry about a thing, I've got my trucks, I've got drivers working and making good money that it pretty much runs itself, so I can claim to own a business. My wife is asking if I want to retire now because ... well I'm don't need to do anything else with trucks now ...

    How about you?

    I apologize to all for derailing this thread, next time I will just shut up to allow those other to stay on target.

    I wasn't even aware you were asking me a question until your last post where you tried calling me out again. My expertise was in server side Web Development such as PHP, MySQL, JQuery, HTML5, CSS, XML, just to name a few. I also had basic knowledge when it came to Linux and FTP and setting up my own dedicated servers at my local datacenter. You can ask me to solve a PHP related question that doesn't exist online to test me if you like. It's been six years since I thought about programming so hopefully I haven't forgotten it all.

    if ($ridgeline_sucks == 1) { echo 'this guy is a loser'; }

    I would show you all of my mods and awards but then you may fall in love with me so I rather not.

    I'm thanking this post, but disagree with shutting up. I will admit you can be abrasive at times, but you're making a great point when you do. You bring way too much to this house, to go quiet. There are about 5 of you guys that post here, that are the reason (mostly) why I stay here. Even if I manage to get bit from time to time. LOL
    Thanks

    He totally hijacked the topic and keeps trying to call me out as a liar. Where I am from that usually gets a fist in the face. It was warranted.
