MILS was hiring in Lakeland. Mostly tanker loads, some dry van. That's Miller Intermodal Logistics.

You're not going to do any better with 3 months experience.
In the future you can do LTL freight and earn more while still getting home.

I've got 3.5 YEARS, not months... but doubt I'll be going anywhere soon.

Well, it is a material world - after all - and I've managed my money, expenses and savings, well enough that it's not ALL about the money for me.

Obviously, money plays a big part, but so does some amount of value and ... what's the word I'm looking for ... happiness I guess - in the job / with the job.

If I disliked the job, more than I liked doing it - I'd quit, no matter what I was doing for a living and find something else. So, for me... it's really not all about the money - it's just one part of it.

There are probably more people like you than me... and I totally get where you're coming from. We all give up a LOT as truck drivers - and I really miss my time fishing / hunting / being at home with the family. I'm 10 years from retirement ... hopefully I'll get there and enjoy it along the way!?

Apparently I don't make enough money, according to a lot of the responses I've gotten.

Otherwise, I've always thought it's a good idea to keep my eyes open to (possibly) better, opportunities - if there are any!?

I work for a small company from North Dakota called Britton Transport. Great place to work. I've been here just over 5 years. Not planning to go anywhere. Other than to maybe buy my own truck and lease it on here.

I work at a small-to-midsize and growing company, called JRayl out of Akron Ohio. Never been to North Dakota - hope to make it up that way before I die!
