Yes it can be a "good ole boy system" at certain DC's. That part gets on my nerves as I mind my own business. Not here to make a name for myself

I specifically asked my GTM how much insurance was for me single non smoker? He told me the truth about different plans, about how much they were. Didn't find out the ded until orientation!! I almost pulled myself out when I heard them.
I figured I done got this far into it mine as well stay. I was talking to a lady at a DC in LA. She said they have a driver that still working way beyond retirement range because his wife is sick and cause of the insurance costs them like 800-1k out of pocket per month.
Grant it I figured a person should have a good amt set back If invested right but that's just ridiculous coming from a company like WM.

Keep telling you brother, start putting out apps at other outfits. No way would I keep working a low paying job and keep my fingers crossed that this place might call. I gave you some legit suggestions. If you have qualifications to work here, you'll have no issue working at a carrier where you can make over 70k a year.

Walmart will always be here and you can keep putting in apps until the call comes.

At a GM drop, I average about 10 minutes, maybe a bit more. Going home early on day 5 because my first 4 days, I didn't make less than $430 each day. Closer to $450-470. I usually stop for the evening with less than 15 minutes left on my 14.

That was the old days of LTL, now they're all hard up for drivers and you'll work a full week in most cases. Look into it in a few months if you don't get the call. I haven't made less than 70k since 2005 working those gigs and that's the low end of payscale.

Depending on where you live there are great opportunities available. There are several companies paying 90k plus. I beleave I'm gonna leave soon.
