Has anyone heard about Werner buying out Swift?

Considering Swift has almost twice as many trucks as Werner I'd imagine the buyout would go the other way if it was true. Never the less I wouldn't put much stake in what's said at truck stop.

It's a done deal...Werner bought Swift. Yep, I heard it from a very reliable source...JB Hunt driver in sweat pants at the buffet! Done Deal!!!

 

Werner was SOLD OUT when the old man turned it over to the kid !!

 

I saw a werner tractor pulling a swift trailer today in Ripon, CA

 

Werner doesent grow thru aquireing other company's and never has .
They grow thru cheap drivers , low operating costs and the ability to haul cheap.

Ya see crst pulling yrc pups all the time but it don't mean crst bought yrc .
The megas relocate trailers all the time ..and of course its all about who will do it CHEAP.

 

Swift are currently listed on the NY stock exchange (SWFT) any member of the public can buy into it. And if you buy a few million shares you can have an active controlling interest.Which is what Werner would be looking to do.
