I remember the last time an 8 year old took down a $50M company using the Internet. Cheeseman should be terrified.

since this is in the bad company section...
I am the last person who would defend a company, a company cannot be good or bad intrinsically, it is a legal entity that exists for the sole purpose of making a profit. As an employee of Cheeseman, I can say they treat their actual employees well. Might come off as a bad company to those who feel they got burned. The company doesn't care, it can't care, it doesn't have feelings. Since I've worked at Cheeseman, I've made it my mission here to share only fact, good or bad. Some days I don't like the job. Other days I love it. Rather than looking at them as a good or bad company, for the most part I look at them as my partner in success. After reading this drivel repeatedly, here are the facts:
dude seeks employment at Cheeseman, they looked like a good company at first, right?
dude doesn't pass job interview
dude is politely sent home
unemployed, dude spends the rest of his life trashing Cheeseman from behind his computer
Cheeseman goes on to make profits, buy new trucks, and pay their employees lots of money
I have known the owner for 11 years and the company is very well managed. ruthlessly efficient. they do not waste time with anything. that's why you were let go from orientation. you would have gotten in the way of their operational efficiency. you were not a good fit. you would have caused drama instead of working hard.
I work hard. I am good at my job. I make lots of money. I understand the benefits of long term business relationships. I own real estate. I have a nice pickup truck. my kid is well dressed. I just rented a $4950/week beach house on the Outer Banks of NC and they were nice enough to give me a long weekend to pack before I leave. all these things could have been yours too. if you'd even seen a taste of the lifestyle that hardworking Cheeseman drivers enjoy, maybe you would have tried harder.
Pain and suffering... move on with your life. there's a psychological phenomena called perspective bias where you can't see how you look to others. I've seen it among entitled adult children in this industry for 14 years now. been wanting to address this for a while but I was too busy making lots of money. wasted some time on my day off but it was for the best.Need4Speed, runningman0661 and Lonesome Thank this. -
Paid orientation? ....three nights in a motel, plus meals, plus shuttle service. Not to mention the cost of background checks, drug screens and other certifications ....how much is a DOT medical exam these days? And who paid for that bus ride?
Are we talking about the company scraping the bottom of the driver pool or drivers just lacking the knowledge to make it through the hiring process.Lonesome Thanks this. -
Well I'm working business as usual all weekend / holiday, in fact it might even be busier. And every store has the third string receivers, and is a complete cluster F, so I think my pain & suffering is far more legit.
I would like to know the difference between avoid & totally avoid.
Totally avoid = Don't even drive by the place? -
Need4Speed Thanks this.

The best part of some companies, is the orientation.
King size bed, pool, free breakfast, and big pay. -
Rusty Trawler Thanks this.
