Hate to say it, but every person that runs up under an ICC bumper and offs themselves is another person off the road that should not have been on it to begin with. We drive in the travel lanes, not the emergency lane. If people can't do that, how are they getting their license in the first place? Something is wrong with that system.
Well it finally happened, someone hit a parked truck on I-78 in NJ

A bit of advice from what I have seen in the state of Virginia. The state police are cracking down on parking on ramps. In the past few nights, I have seen troopers working the New Market, Va rest area because trucks are parking on the ramps and lined up along the Interstate. Just this morning @ 195 mm north bound, the get off for the Lee Hi truck stop, The man was out there with his blue light flashing and writing tickets. I would dare say that there were at least 10 trucks on the get off ramp.
To get a ticket for parking on a ramp or a shoulder of an Interstate here in Va. not only carries a pretty hefty fine but also points against your license. And don't get caught taking a "leak" along the Interstate, they will nail your rear. -
