I have a 2013 Freightliner cascadia
All three power steering lines are hot almost immediately after starting the truck. I replaced the power steering pump. All three lines still get hot. Any ideas what the problem might be???

Does it have a filter in the Reservoir.
-
Yes. But it broke off and was laying in the reservoir. I assume this is probably the problem then??
-
Is there a problem other than you think the lines are hot?
-
Not if it is broke off a plugged filter will overheat fluid. How hot r they getting normal would be 180 200
-
They r hooked to a engine that gets to hot to touch
-
Change out that filter & I would suggest switching to full synthetic fluid.
newfdrvr Thanks this. -

OK I will replace the filter and the cap. Since the threads broke off of the cap that the filter threads to. Hopefully this will fix the problem.

Check starter and battery grounds. This was a issue in 2001 century's. When grounds are bad. The next ground is normally the power steer hose with steel braid inside. 2000/2001 the didn't weld the ground stud in frame all the way around. Then corrosion would build up. Then power steer lines would melt.
