Thank you. It sounds like you know exactly what we are dealing with as an owner operator! So, we are hopeful and wait for Walmart.......

Yeah I just gave up the O/O thing after 20yrs to come here, what I made last week wasn't that far off what I made as an O/O having all the risk.

Excuse me georgear1084, but you are an ###. As the wife of a truck driver, I take care of EVERYTHING at home. That IS my job. I have been our General Contractor for our addition and renovation. I fix plumbing, appliances, and am digging the trench for the new run for our propane to our fireplace, and for our electric rough in. For 6 days a week, I am a single parent. I make sure when my Walmart driver gets home, that I DON'T have a honey do list for him, so he can enjoy his time off.

Frankly, what you posted is rude and disrespectful. I thought more of you. Not anymore.

You are the rare exception from what I've heard from many truck drivers. I always hear from truck drivers that wives have a to do list when they get home. Some drivers claim that being on the road is the actual vacation, and going home is hard work.

I may be old fashion but I do believe that marriage should be a team affair. So, if you choose to not be a bread winner and instead do your half by WORKING AT THE HOME, you should be as honored as the bread winner on every level.

I think many stay at home wives under value the IMPORTANCE OF THE PERSON PAYING FOR THEIR FOOD, RENT, HEAT, and, CLOTHES, and ETC. They seem to think it's trivial when it's FUNDAMENTAL TO EVERY PART OF EXISTENCE.

Good luck taking care of the kids when you can't buy food. Good luck fixing those appliances when you have no money. Good luck paying for the house/apartment for the same reason. The VERY FOUNDATION OF EVERYTHING A HOUSE WIFE EXISTS WITHIN STARTS WITH MONEY. THEIR WOLD IS CREATED BY THE BREAD WINNER. EOD.

So, kudos to you for doing what you should do as a non money earner in the partnership called marriage. I'm sure the stress of being on the road is somewhat relieved when the bread winner can come home to a relaxing VACATION FROM WORK.

Then half the guys you work with picked the wrong wife. With having a child, my husband and I decided together that one of us should be at home for him. So, we do with less "stuff," which is no big deal. It would seem that you only value someone who earns money. If that is the type of partnership that you want, then that is fine for you. However, do not project your "opinion" on others, and do not disrespect others choices. It is nice to know that you look down at the stay-at-home Mom as someone who really does nothing but spend your money. How very sad for you that you didn't have a strong female influence during your developmental years.

I am done replying to you, and I would appreciate if you would stop posting in my thread for the wives of Walmart drivers.

WOW, that was rude! You don't know me........and, by the way I have a job and contribute more than my fair share. I'm not bothering explaining myself or anything to you. You obviously don't know much about marriage and a real partnership. Maybe you were bored or down on life, I don't know.......hopefully you are truly not this ignorant!
