Wow So much here at the start.
“Yes I did ask for a proof of delivery costs for every load and had no trouble with finding out what the actual rate of payment was”
So your earlier statement about rates was what a mistake? A untruth?
“80% of what? do they show your the original rate sheet, with the rate they are charging?
“You sound to me like someone that doesn't have an actual home to live in, its your truck.” I do work a lot of hours yes that is true, I work because I plan on retiring in 10 more years(54) of this, no working tell I am 68 as it seems you are if you have actually been driving for 50 years. Yes I do have a home a lovely home with a shop and 2 car garage. A lovely wife and 4 kids that I see lots. So stuff that up your tail pipe and suck it.
“you call yourself an 0/0 but you take whatever load they give you” no not really I take what loads fit what I am doing. If it pays me to go there, then I take it. It’s a simple concept. I do not sit there and argue with “dispatch about the rate of the load, or with Richie, I take a load if it going where I need to be and move on.
“you don't see the rate sheets and your probably fleece purchasing one of their Volvos” I just said I do see the rates and I talk to the brokers about the rates “trust but verify”.
“Your taking whatever load they give you, while their giving choice loads to those that kick back to the dispatchers, this is well known .So continue on and you should do ok living in your truck” It has to do more with family then anything else, oh and if you do a good job. I do not argue with them, I do not yell at them, I just do my job, and I do it well and move on.
“If you run California and Oregon how do you use 60mph as an average when the truck speed is 55 for the whole of both states.” True however your location is oregon via boston which means YOU run across the usa where many of the states its like to run at 65mph plus. I did notice that you never answered my question about how many tax miles you paid that shows on your seattlement biweekly. Please answer that before you talk some more about pushing hard. In fact why n ot just message me your truck number and months you were in it, I will look it up on the monthly posting and see for myself how many miles you ran a biweekly.
” How much fun do you have trying to find a trailer when you have to drop yours?” Not very. Know of a company that has lots of good clean fueled up empty trailers?
“How do you like it when the dispatcher tells you the load is 38k and you get there and its 45k” You are acting like it is Tuffy that tells you that is how much the load weight, he knows this personally and has lied to you. He gets the info from load coordinator, who gets it from the broker, who in turn gets it from the customer, who lets face it, doesn’t know crap about trucking laws and weight limit.
“How do you like it when they tell you the load needs to be there before 5pm on Friday and you drive your butt off to get there and they tell you you’re not supposed to be there till Monday and you set all weekend, you cant call anyone they leave the office a 445 pm" 2 things here, 1 I call my delivery appointments to confirm the actual appointment time, and 2 I have been in that office many times after five and there are still people there working, and that is why the others have cell phones.
“Im sure none of these things happen to you because you are just something special” Not special just do my job.
“make sure they are paying you for your loads and not skimming from the top” WE have gone over this, you said you checked with the broker you never said if there was a rate difference between what the broker was paying and what Gulick rated you at.
“Oh in closing you wrote you use ddl logs and that they are always PREFECT, think you should start double checking your work its not PREFECT is it?” This I can only say have you ever seen my logs, they are perfect every time. Every driver should have DDL “drivers Daily Log program”
You have griped much about the “fleece lease” program of Gulick, First off, have you seen the price of trucks lately?

    2014 VOLVO VNL64T670
    $137,500
That is a basic model with no apu or much else in it. Gulick Trucks have apu’s and a good package to go with it. The apu is what another 6Kplus so that is 143.5K and you pay 150K for the truck over 5 years with interest, do your math that is a good deal, with no money down. Want to make the payments less then put 20% down, you can do that if you wish. Of if you have that kind of money go buy your own, you will pay more.
Good luck to you, I am sorry you are blaming Gulick for your failed business but I guess that is the way it is.

Gulick runs refrigerated trailers Gulick logistics do some flatbed. Trucks are kenworth peterbilt freightliner and Volvo. Freightliner and Volvo are auto shift. I have a kw T680 13 SPEED manual. Driving anywhere is how you drive how much time you take at home I now for 3 weeks have been with Gulick everyone in the office are good people. You can't turn down load after load and make money. I have made more in one week there than the last place I was at with a 60 40 split which was ultimate logistics in boise idaho stay away from ultimate they are another cr England and the owner his son and partner have never driven a truck at all. Gulick has done right by my friend four years now and so far good to me check them out the right way . I can give you the name and number of the safety gal to talk to to get started its easy.
