This must be terminal specific. I have virtually no paperwork to do other than the travel orders for loads. Each terminal is its own little company. I imagine they are all different. I actually made my own forms to turn in hourly stuff to get paid for it. Now I just write it down on notebook paper.
Quitting Trimac and heading to Superior.

One of the worst I saw was at a Transport Service/Keenen terminal. They had a form drivers had to turn in before leaving for pretrips with a picture of a truck on it and a place to write in the psi tire pressure of all 18 tires. That would quickly become a PIA and be pencil whipped most of the time. I would actually see guys get out of their cars, come into the break room, fill out a form at the table, turn it in, and then head out to the truck. -
Thx, apparently the shop foreman at my terminal doesn't know this either. -
Wish you the best, I rarely comment but I do follow the tanker threads a lot, tired of doing food service myself, plus I have priorities that keeps me from staying out days at at a time, so for now I'll just continue to follow along, my X endorsement just going to waste along with my body messing with these ramps
RookieJ1987 and ChicagoJohn Thank this. -
Prostar still running? Mine has a new $2000 fuel pump. I was actually able to pull hills empty without dropping a gear yesterday.
Won't get to test it fully yet though. Load I am grabbing only weighs 6,500 lbs. -
Been a bit of a challenge so far, lots of setbacks. Essentially, the problem has been trucks. They were waiting on a Mack for me but wanted me to run in a temp truck for a while. This really didn't suit me but I was game. Well, I get assigned the truck, move in and then get put on a load. I get up early, drive in and the truck is gone. I searched everywhere and it's gone.
Turns out, maintenance had never signed off and it was out of service. Obviously, a lack of communication between the shop and dispatch happened. Well, that sucked but I really didn't want to run a temp truck anyway so I wasn't too upset. The Mack finally comes in and I get the call. I head in, the detail guys are just finishing up so I wait. I have nice load waiting, should be good. When they finish I start her up and move it to the parking lot. Well, there are all sort of problems, warning lights everywhere. The previous driver didn't write anything up. So, I have to put it back in the shop. Again, I waste a trip into the yard. So now the truck is fixed and I have a load. I hope to get running soon.
While it has been a struggle, I don't really blame anyone at the office. It was a miscommunication between the shop and office, that happens and it was another driver who screwed me with the Mack. So, I think once I get running it will be good. We will find out tonight.59EX, TruckrWnnaB, Weeble Kneeble and 3 others Thank this. -

Are those Macks really as small as I have heard? Probably have one in my future soon. -
