I do all the time. Clutch will last longer. I am 50k to 68k empty tho depending which trl I pull.
OP, I also think you should have had no problem with the 18....i trained 3 days at school on a 10...then my first job road test it was an 18 n I had no issues

Let me ask this question regarding 18's if I may.
Is it the idea of 18 gears that seemingly tends to overwhelm newer drivers? Or is it a case of knowing where the splitter switch is supposed to be during normal driving? -

Newbies need instruction on the joys of 18 speeds. Most of them don't want to deal with it.
What's been getting to me lately is I recall certain trucks in the past that shifted the rear axle in addition to splitting and range. How is that for insanity. -
