What's the feel of a mega? I like the fact I can go to the Memphis terminal and go see my DM face to face.

Is there much going on out of Mondovi, WI?

I'm close to getting 6 months recent experience which is what a recruiter said was a minimum requirement. The idea of a dedicated account is appealing, especially during winter because it seems like at least Walmart is serious about plowing the snow. Last winter I almost got stuck just pulling into a Piggly Wiggly DC because they hadn't even touched the snow. It seems like so many yards just watch the snow and ice pile up and stop caring after a few months.

Not ruling that out at all. Just deciding if I should have more experienced and money saved up.

Don't need any more experience; just deposits for rent.

Right... I'm still trying to bounce back from my failed college efforts. The experience is cleaning up the mess I made of my work history, but I need to get in better financial shape.

Unless I just based myself out of Nevada and could do Regional/OTR and be living in the truck anyway?

I did notice that Marten has some southern terminals to, so I was considering whether to go with a company up here and later switch to another part of their fleet or to a southern terminal.

It is getting a little annoying with my current company not having a working APU though :p

Marten hires in Phoenix, so they probably hire in Las Vegas also.
Holland Enterprises Inc. hires in Las Vegas and their trucks are set up right for living in the truck. 12 mos. experience and you'll be ready for Holland and they also hire in Michigan. @BigTennOTR might like this company too.
    • Air Ride Tractors and Reefer Trailers
    • Cruise Control
    • Qualcomm
    • Satellite TV and Radio
    • Air Slide 5th Wheel
    • Engine Brakes
    • Power Mirror
    • Tri-Pac APUs on every truck in fleet
    • Inverters
    • Refrigerator/Freezer
    • And More!!

Thanks, I thought Holland was just a Michigan or Midwest outfit.

As for experience, have at least 3 years, but broken up from going to college. I'm refreshing and now close to 6 months recent experience.
