Hey Guys listening to the radio today and there was another conversation about the Uber Trucking. Not sure all the ins-and-outs of it but it seems like Uber is getting into the trucking and freight industry. Does anyone else think this is gonna be a disaster and drop rates even lower?
This is sounding like the craziness of autonomous trucks, heck pretty soon there wont be a need for drivers in trucks doing any of it anymore.
Well have a great day everyone, be safe out there
God Bless

they also have a website

I can see this working for dryvan or reefer but not for flatbed or car hauling.
I think my little hotshot business will be ok for the near future.flatbedcarrier and Ryan S2016 Thank this. -

It shouldn't bring rates down. Truckers will just use brokers like they already do. They don't have to use uber unless of course the rates are good. If uber does launch this no truck is obligated to pick up for them unless they sign up. Don't sign up unless the rates are good. Nothing to fear here.
