Smart dog, easier work that way! :) Nice looking pooch, btw. We just filled an old horse-trough with water yesterday to warm up.... our pup needs a bath today~! LoL .... just like the O/P's truck! (bet his truck smells better than my dog, tho!)

I'm already liking Mercer & I haven't even signed on yet. I was helping another new guy take his lettering off since I had the stuff that made it easy & he asked if I had a ladder, which I don't. A Mercer driver sitting in his truck nearby honked & asked what we needed. Not used to that. Last company I was at couldn't hardly get a driver to talk to you. Then the Mercer driver I'm parked next to starts talking to me. A short time later him & his wife were going to eat & they invited my wife & I along. Great couple, good food, & good advice.

That in itself..... way sweet. Three of their barns are in my area; Loudonville, Delaware, and Medina . . . Ohio. Most of the people (and yeah, a gal in the mix!) I've met working for them... and there's been a few thru the years~ actually was / were kind and considerate, and seemed happy to be there. Commendable, for sure. I'm not an L/O or an O/O but they don't know that, LoL. There's always bad reviews on ANY L/O or O/O barn, but with them, I've heard the least.
Best of luck on your endeavours, btw... let us know.

I've been here five years and have only ran across a few jerks. The other 99% be it office, agents, and drivers are real good fools and welcome in my house anytime.
Chris, the lady that owns the medina agency is a real sweet gal. She came down to the yard in louisville last month and cooked dinner for a hundred drivers. Oh she also pays for half your meals at the lodi TA, don't even have to be on a load for her. just her way of saying thanks for being part of the team.

Did you think all out tales of it being a big family were white lies? I'm glad you made it safe. I hope the two of you find it to be like a home like many of us have. I don't think you two will find a better group of people then we have here (even the IT jerks that I hate ATM are super nice and helpful). Best of luck.
