That company is really stuck on themselves, just like a lot of other ones in the midwest that think they are so great. They are slowly starting to treat their truck drivers as bad as they do their Factory laborers.

Little things are slowly being taken away from them, little by little. A driver who has been working there less than a year or two probably thinks nothing of it, but compared to what that company was ten years ago they are absolutely terrible.

Unless something changes there, trucks speed gets turned back up, more home time, better pay for constantly doing the East Coast sewer circle tour, that low turnover rate is soon to Skyrocket. Mark my words. The very fact that there are posts s on here finally complaining about driving for Ashley I think says a lot. These threads have popped up Suddenly, and this website has been around since 2004 2005.

No it's not, based on Ashley setup they could easily give guys an 48 hr or more at least 3 out of the 4 weekends... I worked for 2 carriers who did this model and the pay was still good and our time was utilized to the fullest during the week.

Even with my problems here i don't think it's an horrible places to work, Just things need to be changed and improved. Some of the things that goes on here shouldn't happen as an private carrier with only 600 drivers.

Even tho I knew it was 64-66 when I came here, the trucks should be running at least 70... considering majority of the time we're light, these trucks could still average 8-9 mpg...

I was being sarcastic. That being said...as a drop lot driver my weekends averaged 40-48 hours. Now on LTL I'm usually home every night and done on Friday and back Monday.

I say usually...not always. There is the rare carryover into Saturday and the occasional leave Sunday night if my Monday drops are too far away in order to get back in time.

That being said...is it perfect....nope? But I also would not have gotten into this line of work if my #1 priority was home time.

I also agree about the speed issue. It's definitely frustrating. I like running 65 anyway but I like having that extra to be able to pass safely and get back over as soon as possible.

No argument there. I quit working in the airline industry after 7 1/2 years because the attitudes and policies of my employers(taking away benefits and people backstabbing each other) was so draconian that if I had stayed any longer I would've been in the poorhouse. It was actually costing me more to commute to work than what I was making the last year and a half.
