Are you saying that $1.75/mi is bad? A lot better than what a lot of companies pay out there.

 

That's a bad rate ( cheap ) for that lane.
Just because it may be higher than another company doesn't make it good.

It's a tad low, but not disgusting. According to DAT that lane is averaging right around 2.

 

I've never ran long haul out of Chicagoland...I know short haul out of there I can easily pull for $2/mi+, but for a long haul, I would think that is fairly close to the norm.

 

If you factor in tolls, it's not that much off.
