We run heavy in all the mountains. Most of our DD15s don't go much past 800K. But that's 78K up and down 17, over Vail, Raton, 89 & 89A up SLC, Grapevine, and all SoCal. Think there's 4 or 5 over a million.
This is off topic, but how come an '18 Volvo780 cost more at Lone Mountain than 280"WB/86"sleeper/550 Cummins/ W900???????????????????????????????????????

Cascadia ..peterbilt etc ...if ya beat the piss out of it and don't take care of it ..it will be junk before it's time .
My Cascadia looks nice but will shot when it hits 700k , I keep it polished out personal pride and is a good truck but with 400k trade cycles and 50k lube intervals no dam way I'd buy it !Oldironfan, KB3MMX, spyder7723 and 1 other person Thank this. -
786K on my 2012 Cascadia with a DD15. You are correct though, my motor was rebuilt at 600K and has accrued over $30,000 in repairs since 500K. ALL issues have been DPF related including the need to rebuild the motor. They discovered the need for a new style piston to aid in the DPF process. First year or two DD15's running old style pistons and DPF will burn themselves up in about a half million miles. The 13's and newer are getting better and these bugs will pass someday.
Other than that I love the truck, she's fresh and runs very well. Easy running as I run from Texas to North Dakota and back every week. There's three climbs running north while I am loaded, other that it's flat....all 2,492 miles. I have 1150000 on a 2010 Cascadia apart from DPF issues that have been fixed no real issues with the engine, it uses 2 gallons of oil between oil changes every 50,000 miles.

I have a 2010 w/ 830,000 and she runs great. For all those that mention DPF issues. There are things one can do to mitigate that issue, if you are an OO. You can replace the Delta P sensor and IMAP sensor, you can remove and clean out the venturi, cross over pipe and intake pipe on the clean side. I have removed these pipes and have rid them of all the soot that accumulates in them with a long wire brush and carb/choke cleaner.
You would be surprised how much soot are in those pipes. It takes only minutes and there is no technical knowledge required, just some time to remove and replace, unsnap and snap on connectors.
On the dirty side unless you have more experience R&R the EGR valve and Doser Pen, burn your DPF every 250K and also have the DOC pneumatically serviced. Really, worth the time and money - mitigates most if not all your DPF issues; keeps you off the side of the road and down time.
