We had a sweet gig with a CRST agent, for a while. Problem was, he would take loads off of us, insist we haul his trailer, then get pissed when we stayed out "too long". We bought our own trailer and stayed out for weeks, making money. Daddy tried to ground us, so we moved out.

We've always been independent. We don't have relationships with agents at LS, like we did at CRST. (Maybe one.) We can't call and get a hand-picked load, just because we're in the area. By the same token, we're not obligated to dead-head a 1000 miles, as a favor.

We rely on the load board and gross about $10,500 a month. We have elogs and run legal. My husband spends about 2 weeks a month, at home. His dad has cancer.

If I jumped on the truck and we ran like we did at CRST, we'd probably gross $15-20K a month.
