Not my load, so please don't flambe' me. But I think it's safe to say, this is a good reason why us flatbedders are constantly being scrutinized.![]()

Tooling heading back home.
One of our other drivers left 2 tarps behind so I would have enough to tarp this load. When I showed up here both of those tarps had grown legs. Told the customer to pick the stuff he cared about most. Loaded that stuff in the middle and did what I could with my 1 tarp. It's not quite long enough but it should be OK. No rain in the forecast tomorrow. Just gotta make it home in the morning and get this parked inside.

Depends on the state!
And the road they are on!
And where they are going!
Some states they are exempt.
Some roads they are not!!!
And some states it depends on the destination!!!! The hole or a pile!!
They should have a flag but really that's all they are missing for most places, and those are little ones.Oxbow, Dye Guardian, Razororange and 2 others Thank this. -
Probably told this one here before, buy I'm old & CRS.
Many moons ago when I worked for the utility got pulled in to some little scales, dump truck pulling a hoe. The close-to-retirement operator from 'Bama that was riding with me jumps out and starts after the CVO "Boy, you see those plates- EXEMPT- you can't tell us what to do take a hike. Boy."
CVO tells him all those mean is no $ for tonnage/registration, not exempt from scales/safety......but that isn't helping.
CVO finally turns & says "you need to get him back in the truck or this isn't going end well"
Teamsters- a guy with 5 yrs. telling a guy with 30 yrs. to do something HA! It didn't end well. Thanks, Jim. -
