    Hi guys,
I have been stuck here in the northeast for last couple days. There is not enough freight, as soon as a load shows up on board it's gone. So I have been thinking about deadheading to Florida where I can get a 3$ plus mile loads. Because from here in NJ, I will only get dollar a mile cheap stuff. I am confused should I stay here or go to Florida. By the I live in FL and I am driving team.
    Thanks in advance for replying

I'm no O/O but if it's as bad as you say get some load or another flodida or to somwhere you can get a load to florida that pats better toward to at least cover your fuel expenses and break even instead of deadheading and blowing money out the stacka

Why not deadhead to Wisconsin? Reefer rates which I assume your hauling are running strong.. you need to get some connects in the north east.My buddy.. as in friends before we got into trucking.. comes into Florida all year round for an average rate.. more than a $1 a mile of course and like your claim leaves with terrific stuff coming out which is what lots of ops on here wish could cross over. General consensus will agree outbound is cheap. Not always true... anyways don't deadhead all the way here.. Delaware.. Virginia?? Carolinas?? Gotta be something man. Good luck

You should be able to get a short hop to western pa, then you should be able to find something out of Ohio.

Love that you're refusing cheap freight though. We fellow owner ops salute you

Second this. There is a lot of short haul stuff up there that pats stupid money. Put some money on the truck then do a longer haul to OH, MI, or NC, and work your way around.
