Tractor trailer tosses 40,000 pounds of lettuce on Waterford, CT highway

Happened at 3 a.m.;hummm.

 

That sounds about right.....when I was working up there, DOT was non existent at night... all the lanes were musical trucks doing 80 MPH

 

Couple more roll overs and we got a nice Tarmac salad happening in CT.

 

3 AM?

HA. Let me tell you a little secret. 95 along that state early in the night long before sunrise becomes a herd of stampeding trucks jumping around each other trying to be first to the GWB.

I should know. I used to be the one in front... watching 100 of you wanting by me asap.

I was reading something from a produce growers of California association the other day, talking about how badly produce has been hurt by the strange weather this year. In fact, all types of lettuce were specifically mentioned, with the suggestion to grocers that they start pushing substitutes such as spinach and spring mix and the like.

 

I guess those waskally wabbits won't be going hungry tonight hey?

 

Produce trucks must have a **** on for taking a nap near or on Connecticut highways.
Seriously,can't the drivers avoid tossing their salad in the Constitution State anymore??lol

 

The construction tossed paint until all the lanes were a spagetti mess by the time you hit the Secondi.

 

On top of that. A local food chain up these parts (Hannafords) has had a refrigeration warehouse that stopped working.
