Unless they are self insured most trucking companies are pretty much under the control of the insurance companies.
All they care about is premiums and numbers.
With several mishaps in a very short period of time, the mathematical probability of you getting into a major accident, has gone up substantially.
That's what the insurance looks at.
A major accident in a car is several hundred to several thousand dollars. A major accident in a semi is several million.
My insurance company said that the average for a major truck accident last year, considering injuries, clean up, reapairs, etc., was 1.8 million.
Based on your record you have moved into the most likely category.

Simple way to handle the 1099 is to tell whoever does your income taxes and let that office take care or it. They probably can handle it or know someone down the street that can.

On years that my taxes have been the least bit complicated, I just pay a pro to do it. I just done want the headache. The money spent has always been worth it.

Thank you one and all for the tips. Correct, I've put myself in this jam and have to take what I can get at this point. Yeah, I'm going to have to be disciplined enough to put money aside. No ifs ands or butts about that. Whiz quiz done today (passed with flying colors) and should be out on the road in a day or two. Again, thanks everyone,,,it is MUCH appreciated.
