Broker refuses to pay for fumigation. TX to CA.

Are you the same as Arturus? If not man somebody remind me to never touch a load of corn. As a matter of fact any thoughts of getting to refer or ag, are gone out the window!

If you try to hold the signed bills for the fum, repayment you may find yourself in another fix?

 

Was fumigation part of your agreement with the broker?

 

So, how many threads are going to be started on this topic because you don't like the answer.
It's been answered in the other thread. Take the hit and follow your (legal) contract next time. So far nothing shows the broker acting illegaly so since you didn't follow the signed contract it's on you.

 

Guys, there is no contract when the broker told them to avoid an AG inspection station. The broker telling them how to route was the mistake on the broker's part and it means they tried to get the truck to bypass a legal obligation to enter the state of California, no court would uphold the contract at this point. They breached the contract, and even after delivery, the owner has no control over it.

File against their bond for non-payment of a required legal procedure to enter the state.

It is that simple, stop letting the broker's walk all over you. they have a bond just for this reason, there are costs to doing business and they have to eat that cost, not the owner.
