    Ancient chinese secret...:biggrin_25525:

Actually, ya see that button at the upper right hand side of your keyboard that says, "prt sc" or "print screen"? It copies your whole screen to the clipboard where you can then paste it into a new Gimp or Photoshop document.

On my laptop I have to press the Fn key along with prt sc.

Looks like I'd have to do the same thing. Reckon I could copy that onto the generic windows pic editing thing-a-ma-jig?

It will paste into any graphics program. Just open a new document and size it to your screen resolution... 1280x768 for example.

Then you can crop it and save it in whatever format the program can handle.

If you want a full featured Photoshop-type program, download Gimp... it's free and does most everything PS will do.

I used to have that Gimp software. IIRC, it slowed my 'puter way down. I ended up deleting it.

Gimp is a direct Photoshop replacement that's been around for over 20 years. It started out on Unix/Linux and ran on X (Unix flavored Windows for computer geeks... like me :biggrin_25525:).

If you're already used to Photoshop, get GIMPshop which looks almost exactly like Photoshop in look and feel.
