Anyone have any input on this company? I saw an ad in my local area in Florida and am interested.

I worked for them in Salt Lake for 8 months. Made a boatload of money but couldn't handle the hours. 14 hour days, 6 days a week and it never let up. But I work at the main plant where we made our own product. So it was out and back back work, but we hauled doubles. Tankers, flatbeds, dry vans.
I don't rember what florida branch did, but usually the satellite branch's have a small variety of what they do.

    Average insurance.
No bonuses whem I was there.
    Uniforms.
    Very good training.
Very professional, at least the drivers were
The absolute best retirement program that I've ever seen. At the time I was there they would take 20% of your yearly gross and put it into a retirement account for you, that you didn't have to contribute to. This was in addition to the 401K they offer

They are strict. They will give you a second chance if you screw up. But they know BS when they see it, and they will drop you like a hot potato if you try to feed them it, so be honest.

There were other factors that made me not want to work there. But I would never hesitate to recommend them to somebody else. These are my own issues and no one else's.

Thanks so much for that response. This is the type of response one hopes for, and not the typical responses. I liked what I heard so far, and basically am waiting to hear back from them. This position would get me home with my family, and at the house every night. ThNks again.

I worked for them for almost 3 years out of their Buckeye, AZ plant. I agree with everything that scythe08 said about it being a great place to work. My reason for leaving, and I sometimes kick myself for doing so, was the long hours. I would bump the 70 hour clock weekly and then do some work in the warehouse as well as maintain the 2 trucks and 5-8 trailers at the yard. The thing I hated was that satelite yards had a little different pay structure than the SLC plant did meaning any hours worked at the yard weren't counted towards overtime. If you worked 70 hrs that week and 35 of that was at the yard, you didn't get overtime, all straight pay. Other than that I sometimes do regret quitting. If they call, go for it. I don't think you'll regret it. With you being from FL make sure you get hired on in the summer because you have to go to SLC for training. Winter sucks up there.

    Good luck

When did you leave, Korky? We may have shaken hands, as I visited your Little plant.
