I agree, the big question I have is with people coming on here asking questions to the degree of "I got a speck of dirt on my mud flap, will that go on my DAC?" If that's the kind of stuff there putting on DAC reports then one only has to ask how seriously are DAC reports even taken? Anymore it seems DAC is just a rag that McMega Carriers use to pass around to each other.

You might as well give up your CDL because you're going to be stuck working for mega carriers for the rest of your career!!!

Just get a new one from freightliner and put it on if your worried.

$10 says T/A destroys it altogether.

The seriousness is dependent on the company that's reviewing dac report. Even some that use it will take in to account the company that put the remarks on there others don't take it with a grain of salt.

To a large degree it's really about the reputation of the company that made the notations.

Whether it goes on DAC or not it happened. You messed up, own it. It's a relatively minor preventable incident. I don't think too many companies would see that as a deal breaker. I know many excellent drivers who did far worse in their first 5 months, the companies know this.

It's not a big deal as far as ruining your career opportunities but it is a screw up that could have been easily avoided. Sight side even. :)

Learn from it and move on.,

As for trying to repair it, good luck. And for replacing it, lol, where you going to find one with the right color match and level of fading? Unless you take one off another truck in one of your terminals.

I wouldnt of said anything til after i pulled it off and tried to straighten it....wouldnt take much....#### block of wood and a hammer...

But on the other note....those are cheap and a dime a dozen...not a big loss for any company
