these heartland and knight drivers sit at docks most of the day for no money then run short miles at night
they are a threat to those of us who have found good jobs home daily and weekends
1 year experience? get a life

Definitely not a recruiter. Would never work for a substandard carrier like Heartland. I'm saying I don't think they've had a company wide raise in about 10 years, now everyone is catching them

I have not worked for a company YET!! That didn't lie to me in trucking.
When I sit down in an interview, and we ask,and answer questions in a
    conversation...I expect the truth!
For some reason folks think some good ol lieing won't make a difference?
My current emploritorium promised a new truck, and no slip seating, and a
    great new account.

Guess what I didn't get at my new job?
I specifically said I was not interested in slip seating! I asked about the clapped out
equipment,as that was a concern."No sir! Your getting a new truck!"
    Pffffffffftttttt!!!!!!
    They ALL Lie

Why would these Heartland and Knight truck drivers be a threat to you if you are not working for either of these 2 companies?
If you are at a company with a good job that gets you home daily and on weekends, how are you feeling threatened?

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

I guess from what I could gather he's worried about the megas undercutting the rates on hauling loads, kind of like scabs trying to cross a union picket line.

Yeah, it's hard to compete with free labor, especially someone raising a family

there would be more local jobs paying good wages and overtime if they were not working for free.
i run 372 miles a day and get paid for all my on duty time and have no sleeper

Well the problem is actually twofold. One,wages haven't kept up with inflation for years,if not decades. Two,some of the local jobs or employers are all panicky because they say if there's a wage increase it'll increase their costs and drive them out of business. Personally,I think that argument is BS because that just shows they want cheap labor to work twice or three times as hard.

There is NO driver shortage. If current freight rates do not allow carriers to pay well enough to retain good drivers, the freight rates are too low.
