How about JB hunt?

I don't know anything about OTR or regional for that account. What I can tell you is I've been with JB sense Jan 9 2017. They said I would make 1$$$.$$/wk and I have made 1$$$.$$/wk. The home time was to be 1 1/2 off every week and that is what I got. Too top all that off another account opened up about a month and half ago and I got to switch accounts. I now make the same amount as before and some weeks more and am home 3-4 nights a week. I said I wasn't going to Jb when I was in school. I said I wasn't gonna go to a mega but outside of the fact I'm sitting right now because I couldn't get home due to my truck being governed at 62 I'm very happy. Oh I forgot one thing the stares suck!!!!

Good for you but guess what I brought home good cash in the beginning then it decreased for some people and I was one of them. I stayed out 7 months, yep 7 months and when I requested home time it was late and I was suppose to get 3 days but got only 2. You sound like a dedicated run because OTR doesn't have dedicated runs.

 

I've never heard any good stories about OTR. Especially with a company the size of JB you are just a truck number. And yea of course your money's gonna be good for the first couple months. They want you to think you have a GOOD job and hope you don't notice when your bank account is smaller. And yes I am dedicated, thank God.

 

So this is interesting - JB Hunt just called and offered to relocate me and my family on their dime to within 100 miles of any JB Hunt terminal of my choosing; includes paid Uhaul, paid packing, paid for miles driving the uhaul and an additional 500 on first week's check.
I'm not interested in relocating but thought I'd share it here for those who might be considering ole JB!

 

Did they say what the position was for?

 

He led me to believe it was for a Northeast regional deal, but he also said it was a nationwide program. I have his name and number somewhere.

 

Probably not an account you would want to advertise, think about it. Their willing to spend all that money for you to relocate. You gotta ask yourself why? My opinion, they can't keep drivers on the account, but if they can get you to relocate then maybe you will feel guilty enough to stay even when things are bad hoping for a better week. And I work for JB so I probably shouldn't say that. But it is what it is.

 

To me, it's no different than a company offering someone a $10K, or any $K bonus .... just a different form of bonus.

 

True but you should get the details on how long you have to stay, in order to not have to pay them back. I'm sure they have a stipulation just like everyone else, that way anyone interested already knows and doesn't forget to ask just in case their a new truck driver.
