Here's the video that goes with that one. It was last summer.

Bottom of a small hill, traffic from both directions rounding a bend and starting down before seeing the guy. Had he kept going another mile and a half there is a perfect place to turn around.

Made 2 uturns. Got caught both times and was scoulded then released. Cops can be fair.

CAN be and WILL be are two different scenarios. Then again, you probably didn't end up as one of the above 'RESULTS.' ;)

Interstate, used one of those 'Authorized Vehicles Only' cross overs. Couldn't wait for the only two sets of approaching headlights in sight to go by before doing it.

I try to stay out of the ditch. Unless you need to drag your trailer in the ditch down a beaver slide in the Winter. :(

Better to make a couple proper turns than try it, especially loaded.

Depending where you're at sometimes you don't have a lot of options. But you can make a bad situation worse in a hurry. Sometimes it's best to park and call someone, or look at google satellite view to try to find a turn around point. When in doubt talk it out. Call your dispatcher, be honest. Don't be afraid to say "I messed up". They know we're human, and they'd rather get the "I missed my exit and I'm a little lost" call than the "I was doing and a u-turn and..." call. And the uturn call can have some absolutely nightmarish finishes.

I don't get how y'all say its illegal when I know at least 2 scales that you have to make a u turn to get into the out of. Seems that would be entrapment lol.

I did it a lot of times for 5-9 years and I'm still good at it. What you should do is look where you are surrounding and if everything looks good then do it. But remember about the trailer if you have one hook up, I drive around 5-8 MPH when doing a Uturn. Plus more safety to the public and the trailer. I love doing it when I was in my 20s but now I'm 41. I'm still a pro with my truck☺. It took me while learning to do a Uturn with my truck.
